Can I rent a boat without a boating license?

Yes, you can. Most of our boats can be driven without a boating license. For each boat, it is always clearly indicated whether a license is required, so you can easily choose the one that suits you best.

Is it easy to drive a boat?

Yes, it is. Before departure, we provide a short briefing on how to operate the boat and the basic rules. You will also receive a map with the best spots to visit. Just a bit of attention and common sense is all you need.

Can I reach the islands of Giglio and Giannutri?

Yes, but only with our Joker Boat models equipped with 100 HP engines. Even if you have a boating license, reaching the islands is not allowed with 40 HP engines. Joker Boat motorizzati 100 cavalli. Anche con patente nautica non è consentito raggiungerle con motori 40 cavalli.

Tried to call few other companies around laguna, but most of them were not able to speak english or had it at level nothing could be undesrtood. Idroboat we sent basic e-mail request via webpage a night before and next morning whatsapp message of confirmation arrived. After small chat we picked up nice boat at harbour, spent entire day arround coast and returned safely. Boat was clean, fresh and guys in port very helpfull, showed where to buy food for the day, expalined rules and no more bothering. We loved the day, service and boating itself!

They were nice, professional and very fair! Our skipper was excellent and took us to Isla Dei Giglio for lunch and gelato during our boat cruise. He also found beautiful swimming spots for us!
